TNIPM has been associated with various national and state-level institutions and has worked in collaboration with healthcare, academic, and social development organizations. It has also been recognized as a National level Collaborative Training Institute (CTI) for elder care initiatives supported by the National Institute of Social Defence (NISD) under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (MSJE).
TNIPM is affiliated with the Tamil Nadu Open University (TNOU) and has collaborated with the Institute of Palliative Medicine, a WHO Collaborating Centre for Community Participation in Palliative Care.
